We are also recommending the Extended Stay America - Dutchman hotel as a place to stay. This is where the majority of the bands may be staying. Note that there is no special discount rate, so no need to mention Terrastock: rooms are not more than $57.00 a night. If the Extended Stay Dutchman fills up, then we recommend the Extended Stay St. Matthews which is literally half a mile away.

Another recommended hotel is the Holiday Inn Hurstbourne (I-64 East) which sits beside the expressway (Go West) straight to Mellwood Avenue.

Room Cost is $85.00 with the Terrastock Festival

Individual Reservations - Individuals are required to call the Hotel directly at (502) 426-2600 or (800) HOLIDAY to make reservations. Reservations must be made by Thursday, June 5, 2008. Individuals must ask for the corresponding Block Code, TSF, when making reservations.

Attendees will pay for their own (room and tax), incidental charges incurred by them at Holiday Inn Hurstbourne/I-64 East.

Please note: Parking is FREE at most of the hotels we recommend and at the venue.

So if you are driving, don't fear the parking bill.  You won't have one! 

Also if you are driving, please consider carpooling with some of the guests who are not car-enabled when going to the festival grounds.  It is a nice gesture and helps the environment.

=CAMPING=

$10.00 shower passes are now available for campers at Absolute Fitness (onsite at Mellwood).  See Travis, the owner. These are valid for the whole festival - use as much as you wish.
 

Primitive Campsites are available on site.

The Mellwood Art Center is a big old factory with tons of land around it in the middle of the city. The primitive campsites are in a grassy field around a parking lot. There are woods with a raised highway overpass close by. (Your night time choir will be frogs and semis.) The camping area is right on the site where Terrastock VII will take place. Simply park your car, pitch a tent, walk up the hill about 100 ft and you’re there.

The cost is $30 per site for one day or the entire time of the festival.

No running water is available at the campsite itself, but the main building is a short walk away.

Port-a-johns will be located at the campsite. Showers are available (see above)

The Camping area is slightly secure: it is recommended not leaving your valuables unwatched in tents.

The festival and facility will not be responsible for lost, damaged or stolen items.

Campers will be asked to sign a waiver upon arrival.

Campsites can be reserved or can be available on a walk up basis if spaces are available.

Any campsite reservations not met by 2 hours after reservation time will be forfeited. Fees will not be refunded.

Campground Regulations

* All vehicles must display either a permit or car pass in front window.
* Checkout time is Monday, June 23 noon.
* Two vehicles permitted per site.
* One unit (tent) per site.
* Camping fee is non-refundable.
* Quiet time is 1am-9am.
* No Pets of any kind.
* Dump waste at Dump Station only. (this would be the port-a-john)
* No fireworks or explosives.
* No Alcohol or drug use.
* No cutting of trees or bushes.
* No Campfires at anytime.
* No wading in, near, or by creek (water is NON potable and most likely relatively contaminated)
